Frequently asked questions

What is the social insurance (GOSI) rate in Saudi Arabia? expand_more
It depends on when you subscribed, because two schemes run at once. Anyone subscribed before 3 July 2024 pays 9.75% (9% annuities plus 0.75% SANED) with 11.75% from the employer. Anyone subscribed after that is on a ladder: the annuities rate rises half a point every July from 2025 until it reaches 11% in 2028 — so 10.75% for the employee today. Expatriates pay nothing and the employer pays 2% for occupational hazards. Enter your subscription date and the tool applies the right scheme and tells you which one it used.
What is the social insurance rate in the UAE? expand_more
Two schemes again. Anyone who joined the workforce before 31 October 2023 pays 5%, the employer pays 12.5% and the government 2.5%. Anyone who joined after that falls under Federal Decree-Law 57 of 2023: 11% from the employee and 15% on the employer side, of which the government carries 2.5 points when the contribution salary is under AED 20,000. The same law raised the pensionable ceiling from AED 50,000 to AED 70,000. Expatriates are outside the pension system entirely.
How is the end-of-service award calculated? expand_more
Per the labor law: half a month for each of the first five years, and a full month for each year after, and the tool shows the amount and its formula.
Does the calculator include housing and transport allowances? expand_more
Yes, you can enter the allowances (housing, transport, and others) to be counted in the gross and net salary accurately.
